Modern Furniture Design News The Art of the Home article, entitle "Worldly Influence" shows the Art Nouveau Style cabinet and the Vanya Chair. Both of these pieces are made from Pacific North-West Madrone. The finish on the chair is natural, maintaining the rich warmth and grain detail. The Art Nouveau Style Cabinet is finished with a wash of three colors: white, blue and green to give a verdigris effect. The cabinet is protected with a final coat of lacquer to keep the colors and to give the piece long lasting durability. The article gives a basic biography describing my early life and the steps that led to developing a custom fine furniture making business. As a small business owner I am very grateful for press exposure and articles in magazines such as the "Art of the Home".
