Modern Custom Made Fine Furniture

One of the goals of furniture design and making that I strive for is to make the entire piece a sculptural form - a modern unique shape that does not need a lot of extemporaneous detail.

The idea is that every aspect of a piece will be made to compliment the whole composition. In this sense the form of the piece then makes a united "statement" and does not need a lot of add-on detail.

In this way it is possible to avaoid having a "busy" piece of furniture: the beauty is in the form itself and the choice of woods.

Most of my furniture is custom made. Very seldom does someone find a piece on my site or at a show that is exactly what they are looking for. Typically, the piece needs to be made of a different wood or a different dimension in order to be appropriate for the decor and proportions of their home.
